Swan Creek Candle

I absolutely love scented candles and have a wide range of Yankee candles often burning away in every room in my house! I have been lusting after a Jo Malone candle for a long time now and it's on my January wish list but while I was looking through a lovely little shabby chic shop I came across the Swan Creek candle.

I love my Yankee's but I have found lately that some have not been giving off quite the stronger smells that I like, when I entered the shop I was instantly hit by a lovely smell I enquired what it was and the owner kindly directed me to the Swan Creek Candle Company range, I was instantly drawn to all the amazing scents they were so intense! They do a variety of sizes and also the little bars to go on your burner. The candles come in solid glass pantry jars with a screw top lid and are made from 100% American soybean wax so lead free and clean burning. I opted for Roasted Espresso which is a beautiful coffee cake smell and peppermint twist which smells like mint choc chip! Both have amazing smells and burn really well. My 24oz candle was £18.99 and my 12oz was £13.99, you can find them at certain stockists or this is a link to the UK website www.swancreekcandles.co.uk

What are some of your favourite scented candles?

A few new No7 goodies

I popped into Boots today just for my usual little look around and came away with a blusher and a lip crayon. Both are No7 which I do love and have quite a few things from the range, I have a Soap and Glory lip crayon which is quite sheer but the No7 one is much deeper and gives more of a intense colour rather than a sheen. I went for High Shine Intense in Sultry Kiss which is a deep plummy red which has a lovely sheen to it and has lasted a good few hours after I applied it.

Boots No7 Sultry Kiss High Shine Intense Lip Crayon
and Boots No7 Soft Damson Blush

My second purchase was the No7 Natural Blush Tint Powder in Soft Damson, I was looking for something a little more matt for daywear rather than my usual shimmer blush I wear. It's a lovely soft pink colour that goes into the skin well and you can build up the colour for a more intense blush or just sweep for a light rosy glow.
The lip crayon is £9.00 and the blusher was £8.00 but currently Boots have a buy one get one half price offer on the No7 make up range.

Have you any favourites in the No7 range?

January Wish List

Hi All, this is my official first blog post so I am rather excited. Firstly I would just like to say a big hello and a big thankyou for reading this and I hope you come back. Well I know we usually try and have a bit of a spending ban in January but these 2 products have just been calling my name too much. I have been after a Jo Malone candle for a long time now and now I will be taking the plunge and indulging in one later this month. The other product I have been lusting after is the Philosophy Microdelivery Peel Kit which I have heard alot of good things about so I will be very excited to try that and give you my thoughts.

Ever tried a Jo Malone Candle or the Philosophy range?
